Algol - How Our Personal Choices Effect Our Outcomes
Uranus is at Algol this week, and at the full Moon May 12, and it’s time we brought some light to its interpretation.
Algol is controversially known as ‘the demon star’ (and that title makes for great clicks)! This is probably because it was used to initiate battles, and so conjunctions with Algol may have meant the potential for invaders into one’s land.
Let’s move on to how we can understand and use this energy personally, to our benefit, for healing and to lift ourselves out of circumstances.
Algol is a Triple Star -
A Feminine Reflection
An Opportunity for a Hero’s Journey
Two of the stars orbit each other. The third stands, apart and alone.
These were the Gorgon sisters in Greek mythology.
The third star is Medusa, but she is also known as Lilith.
The energy of the Algol star system is much like the Cinderella story.
The Cinderella story shows the blessings that come when we pursue our truth and our personal Soul path, and persevere despite the obstacles placed in our way, either by others or by circumstances.
This is a Soul level journey is comparable with ‘the Hero’s Journey’, a core story at the heart of western culture and civilization.
Undermining of the Feminine
to Cause Societal Division -
Healing is Possible
The key theme of Algol, the two stars and third star, discussed in the video above (and linked below), is a story with female characters.
At the heart, this star system represents two different ways to live, and two different ways to express.
We can live in duality, taking polarized positions with others in relationship, and energetically taking and giving from and with each other.
If both partners, if community members, do not make equal effort, this devolves into parasitism. And in fact, one of the two rotating Algol stars, takes energy from the other with every pass.
There’s another way we can live, spiritually and energetically.
We can live as energetically sovereign individuals, where our Human relationship with God, the Creator, our own Soul, is primary.
With individuals such as this, two independent individuals can benefit and bless, can work and enjoy each other’s presence and contribution, in freedom without reliance, receiving and giving according to Divine principles.
We present as energetically sovereign, consciously choosing to turn away from parasitic action.
We can be interdependent while independent, with exceptions that balance the edges when we cannot be independent for various reasons, as long as core self reliance and honoring of our own Divinity, first, remains.
Devolving Ourselves by Dividing the Culture
The ability to cause division is clear here - because the three stars are divided.
It always appears harder to live in personal responsibility than it is to live in parasitism.
There are natural stresses and tensions in relationships.
The stars are divided:
by position in the sky,
by function towards each other, and
by energetic relationship to each other.
Two stars are always two together, and one apart.
Two against one.
One star always stands alone.
One wants to join but cannot.
One wants to be independent from the group.
Two want one to join but the one cannot move position.
One wants to join but cannot enter their dynamic.
Two revolve around each other, in joy.
Two revolve around each other, one giving and one taking.
One of these two stars ‘steals energy’ each time it revolves around the other.
The two revolving around each other appear ‘divided’, because there are two individual stars, yet the two are ‘one complete energy’. They revolve around each other, ‘eternally’.
In this way, they are oneness presenting as duality.
The third star is divided in that it cannot participate, even if it wanted to, as this is not its place in the Heavens.
Thus the one star’s nature is to stand apart as an energetically sovereign individual.
It neither takes, nor gives, to or from the others.
The third star is the potential of oneness, within the individual.
The Underlying Power Dynamic of Algol -
Division & Vulnerability
Through Distortion of our Women
and the Meaning of the Feminine,
We Suffer Attacks on Our Human Culture
Algol powerfully represents how cultures are divided and invaded, how parasitic influences can rob Human cultures of their underlying value, and of how societies and Empires, fall, from the point of view of the feminine.
It’s key meanings are:
The value of women in our culture, and
The ability to manipulate and use the feminine aspect of a culture.
In addition, it’s broader meanings are:
The opportunity to overtake resources, long term, through parasitism.
The invasive force of taking from others without recourse, juxtaposed against the opportunity to live in an independent and self reliant way.
One vulnerability of Human cultures is to turn women into a monstrous distortion of the truth of womanhood (the immortal Gorgon sisters are monsters with snakes for hair).
The woman who stands apart is Medusa. Medusa was not always monstrous.
She was the beautiful priestess Minerva, who betrayed her sacred promise and her own Divinity, through an act of degeneracy. Her punishment was to be turned into a monster by Athena, becoming Medusa.
Medusa is vanquished by the male hero, Perseus, with the help of a female goddess, Athena.
The monstrous is slain.
Civilization returns.
The Healing of Lilith -
Her Devolution,
Her Evolution
In older tales, this third star would be Lilith.
Lilith stands apart; she wants no part of a parasitic, or dualistic, relationship.
She demands respect as an individual sovereign Soul in Human form.
When she does not receive this respect, she acts ‘monstrously’. She is the woman who rages out of her abandonment, causing destruction. Enraged, she then chooses the darkness over the Light of her own Soul.
In her rage over how she is treated, Lilith devolves into lower fractals of the Divine feminine, such as Medea, Medusa, or she becomes one of the Maenaeds.
Yet when Lilith recovers herself it is in this way:
She heals her own abandonment by realizing that God never left her.
She heals her delusion by recovering the truth of herself as a living Soul.
She reclaims her power by realizing that the true power to do anything comes only from God, from her own Soul, from the creative spark within her that is the Light of the Creator’s love for her, that is the Light Source of her own conscious embodiment.
Then Lilith evolves to become Venus, Athena, or Aphrodite.
Now, she is a fully healed and properly functional member of the culture, of her community, and she runs her home and her life in a proper way, and in alignment with Divine principles.
Uranus at Algol:
Strength, Loyalty and Self Reliance
in the Face of Betrayal, Polarization and Use of Force
Uranus at Algol has effected us since July 20, 2024. It’s energy is potent, now.
Uranus was exact at Algol on May 4, 2025 and will be at Algol’s degree for the May 12, 2025 Full Moon.
The last ‘touch’ of this energy will come again in February 2026.
In winter 2026, Uranus comes back around from its entrance into Gemini this summer, and will retrograde to less than a degree orb of Algol in early February 2026.
This energy will be in effect the next 9 months and beyond.
It will be activating with extra energy through the forward movement of Uranus as it moves direct off of its fourth orb with Algol from February 2026 onwards.
How Uranus at Algol Expresses
Sudden shifts, sudden experiences, sudden events all along the themes described above, present us with incredible opportunity:
to re-establish our inner resilience,
to gain strength from within,
to stand out from our previous choices,
to upgrade our state of being,
to uplevel our choices through expanded consciousness.

Uranus in Taurus
With Algol Comes the Potential for Invasion
Fascinating that ‘invasion’, or the presence of outsiders, is a major topic of discussion in the western world, right now, as is the lack of adherence and respect for local laws by a small but meaningful percentage of ‘migrants’.
In the current energies, this becomes highly visible, and the sanctity of the women and children is heinously undermined (as we become aware of terribly increased rape and child and sex trafficking statistics that has come with this influx).
So, maybe there is something to the ‘demon’ aspect of this star.
Even though many of the demographic trends represented by the Algol factor have been ongoing in the west for years now, they have only come closely into view, been highlighted, and action taken over these influences, as Uranus began it’s conjunction with Algol (July 20, 2024).
I realize some may not like this topic, but these are the astrology energies, plain and simple.
3 Key Ways to Establish Yourself at the Full Moon in May, and Beyond
The conjunction of Uranus Algol at 26˚ Taurus, at the Scorpio Full Moon at 22˚, brings a high level of intensity.
This is a 4˚ orb with the Sun in Taurus and a tight opposition to the Full Moon.
We deal with possibility of ‘personal invasion’, the potential breaking of personal boundaries, and strong and unusual fears, and anger.
At the same time, the strength of these energies encourages us to activate our will, to exercise our authority, and to rely on our own inner resilience.
How we handle the energies in our lives in the rest of May, will make a big difference, and echo far beyond the current time.
The Sun and Moon degree of 22˚, have the intense meaning ‘kill or be killed’, so choices and experiences can have a ‘life or death’ flavor to them.
People with 22˚ prominent in the charts, can have a ‘my way or the highway’ attitude, and they can live out the admonition ‘you’re either with me or against me’.
However, they can be incredibly loyal friends and allies, and powerful team mates.
The difference in how this is lived out, is spiritual maturity and the application of Divine principles to one’s own life.
Personal growth work and bringing the Light of one’s own consciousness to the energy can smooth the edges.
When someone with a degree of this intensity brings a high level of focused development to their lives, incredibly potent effects are possible.
These factors fit the energy of the May 12 Full Moon, as well.
4 Points to Guide You through the Uranus-Algol Scorpio Full Moon
Here is a 3 point plan to hone yourself energetically for the next 2 weeks of the May 2025 lunar month (May 12 Full Moon through May 25).
It is a good time to remember:
Set boundaries that are healthy for you.
Put yourself first and treat yourself gently.
Know that the tendency right now is to perceive ‘the other’ as an enemy unless they are well known to you. They might be, it all depends on your particular circumstance, expression of energy, and who you deal with.
Mature expressions of this energy are able to appropriately build bridges or ‘fill the gap’ at this time in projects and opportunities.
Come to ‘know yourself’ better.
Establish yourself within your own heart and mind.
Allow yourself to know the truth of your motivations.
We are much more powerfully capable living our lives when we understand our own natures, and when you know the truth of who you are as a living Soul.
‘Reset’ your concept of your own personal value and worth.
See how you can best live as ‘a proper person’, making one or two small changes to habits, to start in your life. Over time, expand from these changes, adding to them, honing yourself as you desire to do.
Understand that you are worthy of love but that our personal power and opportunity are greatly expanded when we live and act appropriately.
True Power and Efficacy Comes from Our Relationship with God
Concepts of ‘power’ and ‘influence’ within the world are temporary and are illusions.
Anyone with true influence in the world has it because God is acting through them, using the Human in co-creation to glorify the Divine plan.
Coming to know our own selves, living in a proper way, and doing one’s best to align with Divine principles in our lives, is what enhances our relationship with the Creator, the Source of each Human Soul.
