The Heliacal Rise of Venus brings Light and Encouragement

Venus is Rising

Venus ‘becomes visible’, rising with the Sun, thus visible above the horizon, at 6:08am on August 24, 2023 (pacific daylight time zone). This is a part of the astronomical cycle of the star Venus relative to Earth’s position.

Venus is usually visible in the evening and night in the Northern hemisphere in Winter and Spring, then takes a break and is ‘invisible’ (it can’t be seen) in the sky after mid-Summer, then in late Summer through Autumn reappears, rising at the horizon in the morning.

Star Light, Shine Bright

We can use this time of reappearance of Venus to lift our spirits. We can use the shift of Venus from sunset and night, to sunrise and day, as inspiration. We can observe this moment of breaking through darkness into light, to buoy, support and encourage ourselves.

Why Is Venus Important?

Venus in the astrological wheel represents the core value in your Earthly life.

For each of us Venus is placed uniquely, by sign, degree, house, power, and aspect.

This means that what Venus represents, means something to you personally, that is special to you. It represents your deepest values as a living Human Being, your utmost desire of what you wish to have and to hold in physical reality.

Venus represents what you wish to have as an integral part of your life, what you wish to accomplish, and how you live accordingly.

The energy of you represented by Venus in your astrology chart, is at the basis of determining how you act relative to having, holding, achieving and embodying true value according to your desire.

Venus, goddess of beauty, is also a goddess of war. If she is strong in your chart, you will potentially fight for your values, and you will have the strength and stamina to have the resources you desire.

In fact, Venus represents the area of life you where are likely to work the hardest, or make the greatest effort, to have what you value and to have what, or who, you hold so dear.

Know Thyself

You can use this time to determine what values you hold most dear, to understand yourself, and to know what you feel is truly worthy of your time, resources, and attention.

If you aren’t sure what you wish to accomplish, achieve, or have at this time:

• This is a wonderful time to support yourself with inward reflection.

• Learning to know your true self can be challenging. Prayer, meditation, connecting with God, can settle you down and help to bring clarity.

Focus and Support Yourself

If you already know yourself well enough, support yourself to achieve what you wish in life:

• Use this time to develop a practice of staying centered, staying connected with your inner wisdoms.

• As we move into Autumn, use your focused intention to develop and activate plans for what you wish to do, have, and accomplish as you look out to the next year of the Venus cycle.

Deepen Your Relationship with You

To build a sustainable foundation internally to support your Venus energies over the coming year, and as Venus moves into the night sky in Winter into Spring:

• Learning to manage your energy, including your thoughts and emotions, helps stabilize yourself internally, creating a stronger foundation within to support your doing, having, and being.

Have the Courage of the Lion

We are still within the ‘Lion’s Gate’ energies of the August 8, 2023 ‘8:8 Energy Gateway’, which was activated by the heliacal rising of fixed star Sirius.

The Lion’s Gate is actually a ‘season’, which started this year on July 24 (at 20˚ North latitude), and will go through September 3rd (at 60˚ North latitude).

The rise of Venus occurs during the new moon phase of the Lion’s Gate. This lunar month starts today as I write this, on August 16, 2023 (through September 13, 2023).

It’s a good time to intend, through thoughts and emotions, and through imaginings and felt body sense, to rise up your courage and your Soul.

The worth and the value within you, awaits.
